Frequently asked questions
How can it be free?
If you choose to work with the highly vetted and approved contractors your local loss assessor appoints after assessing the repairs needed, the contractors will be paid for by your insurance company and they will pay the loss assessor a fee to oversee them. Doing things this way means there is nothing for you to pay. To clarify, the insurance company won’t pay the loss assessor directly unless your policy covers claim preparation fees.
What if I don’t want to use their contractors?
In the case that you want to use your own contracts or would even prefer a cash settlement, a small percentage-based fee would be charged. This can differ from claim to claim and a better idea of an exact figure would be clearer after an initial conversation. The aim is always that you would receive a higher settlement even with our fee than you would going in alone.
What insurance claim do we provide loss assessors for?
We provide loss assessors to Homeowners, Business owners and Landlords covering all types of property claims including fire damage, water damage, storm damage, subsidence structural repairs, theft and more. If you are unsure about whether we can help, call us on “phone number”
What is the difference between a loss adjuster and a loss assessor?
A loss adjuster is typically appointed by the insurance company to investigate and assess the cause and extent of a loss claimed by the policyholder. Their primary goal is to ensure that the claim is legitimate and to determine how much the insurer should pay based on the policy terms. Conversely, a loss assessor is hired by the policyholder to represent their interests during the claims process. They help the Homeowner navigate the complexities of insurance claims, preparing documentation and providing an independent evaluation of the loss to ensure fair compensation. Essentially, while loss adjusters work for the insurer, loss assessors advocate for the policyholder.
